We embarked on our journey to success in 2000.
In the year 2000, L&Z Integrated Farms Ltd commenced its dairy production journey with a modest herd of 29 local breed cows known as Sokoto Gudali. Soon after, 100% Friesian-bred bulls were introduced for natural mating, resulting in a crossbreed that inherited 50% local traits and 50% Friesian traits. This deliberate crossbreeding strategy not only enhanced resistance to tropical diseases but also significantly increased milk yield. Today, all L&Z cows are crossbreeds between Friesian and local Sokoto Gudali cows, boasting an average yield of 20 liters of milk per day.
